Trail planning consists of assessing the project area and a geo-spatial computer analysis to determine the best use and feasibility of desired trails. The goal is to create a conceptual trail map that illustrates what kind of trail could work where in the park. Conceptual trail placement is the result of computer GIS analysis, field scouting and any goals identified by clients. Once initial trail types and placements are agreed upon, a plan will be put in writing, used to further carry out the remaining phases of work like physical trail design and construction.
